Julia Monosova – Ukraine

julia-monosovaJulia was born and raised in Ukraine where she obtained her business degree and also trained as a dancer. After encountering yoga in America, however, she realized this was her true calling. With the guidance of her yoga mentor she developed a deep appreciation for the combination of personalized physical practice with a strong spiritual foundation. The experience with Yoga completely transformed her life, and Julia was inspired to dedicate herself to helping others by spreading the knowledge of yoga. She took yoga teacher training with the International Sivananda Yoga Vedanta organization and subsequently returned to complete advanced yoga teacher training. She teaches yoga in NYC and also taught at Sivananda center in Los Angeles, where she managed the center while the director traveled abroad.

She teaches group classes as well as individual sessions, which allows an added focus on nutrition and spiritual study. She offers wellness consultations, based on macrobiotic principles, as a supplement to yoga practice. She also teaches healthy cooking workshops.

She practices Vipassana meditation, which along with yoga allows her to live in harmony with nature and to accept life as it is.

She is committed to helping her students to find in yoga an organic path that builds strength and flexibility, reduces stress, and creates a healthy life balance – leading ultimately to Self-realization.

Julia has been a direct disciple of Swami Agung from Qi-Yo Yoga since 2012.
