I am originally from the UK, a trained nurse and fitness instructor. I first came to India in 1984 with my husband and have two children who were both born in India, my daughter in the Himalayas and my son in Auroville. I have lived and served in Auroville, the International Community for Human Unity in South India for many years teaching fitness and exercise classes both in the studio and in the pool amongst other initiatives. I have found that my passion lies in bringing together a balance and synthesis of beauty and creativity within the body and helping others to rediscover that joy.
Integrating spiritual knowledge into the practice of yoga through a multi dimensional system which uses many traditions of knowledge is both fascinating and unique and very exciting for me. Within the Qi Yo Teacher Training course (which I attended in December 2013) is a vast wealth of knowledge which is both inspiring and fascinating. The sequencing of asanas, Qi Gong and Tai Chi is cleverly put together in a well balanced system that is flexible enough to cater to any level as necessary – and this itself is a very important aspect as the sequencing is not fixed but can be moulded and adaped.
Yoga is a spiritual journey to the Self, to Unity, to Joy and I hope to inspire others along the way as we share this journey together.
