Product Description

Considered to be one of Nature’s most perfect and ubiquitous designs, the egg has been called “divine geometry” in nearly every ancient civilization and through to modern times. This shape resonates with the current evolution of our planetary consciousness, and brings a sense of unity, warmth and the birth of new life. It represents the energy of life which liberates and stimulates movement.
The mat is covered with a texture of blueBlue signifies the celestial love of truth water wavesThe symbolism of water has a universal undertone of purity and fertility. Symbolically, it is often viewed as the source of life itself and we see evidence of it in countless creation myths in which life emerges from the primordial waters. combined with a spiral graphicspiralThe spiral is the oldest symbol known to be used in spiritual practices. It reflects the universal pattern of growth and evolution. The spiral represents the goddess, the womb, fertility and life force energy. Reflected in the natural world, the spiral is found in human physiology, plants, minerals, animals, energy patterns, weather, growth and death. The spiral is a sacred symbol that reminds us of our evolving journey in life. When used as a personal talisman, the spiral helps our consciousness to accept the change in life as it evolves. The acceptance of change is one of the greatest freedoms that a human can experience, putting consciousness in the present moment where the power of creation is condensed. On a larger scale, using this symbol assures us that all beings are reminded of their inward and outward evolution, a balanced and centered state of mind. On water, it carries the power to flow and change. print on the blue side of the mat and a Flower of LifeflowerThis symbol represents the Seed of Life. This sacred geometry is the center of the larger Flower of Life, a sacred blueprint of all creation. The pattern is also repeated in the Kabalistic Tree of Life and appears in most early religious traditions in the Middle East. Used in religious art, it often represents the all-seeing eyes of God. The overlapping circles represent the omniscience of creation, honoring the infinite connections of all life circle, which nurture diversity. As a spiritual practice, the Seed of Life should be used to hold a morphogenic field of acceptance for all beings, cultures and beliefs in order to all practitioners to realize that all circles rotate through the center of creation and, thus, establish the holiness of all orientations. In a larger context, the Seed of Life resonates tolerance and an infinite source energy for all beings. Placed on water, the Seed of Life will be a silent reminder of your place in the web of creation. embossed pattern on the purplePurple relates to the imagination and spirituality. As my dosha is pitta dominant, I was skeptical about this oval yoga mat being able to give me the grip I need to get through humid vinyasa classes. However, I’ve been pleasantly surprised that even through the hottest and sweatiest level 2/3 class, I’m sticking asanas and feeling confident that I’m not going to slip. In addition, I like to practice outside nearly everyday and the grip holds up even with sand and dirt on it! Not to mention it cleans up easily with my trusty water/vinegar/tea tree oil spray and rag. This mat has really stepped up the creativity in my practice because I have the room to place my limbs wide in new shapes without interrupting my flows to turn and use the long way, like on my old mat…now it’s all the long way! :D My favorite aspect of this mat is that it is made from plant based materials rather than petroleum based products, thus reducing its impact on the environment.

I am in love with my oval yoga mat!
I am tall and have had hard time fitting in the regular rectangular mats, however this OVAL mat offers ALL the space I need! I also love the natural smell, good grip and extra cushioning (great for my knees)

I am in love with my new oval yoga mat. My practice on this oval yoga mat is so fluid and allows my hands and feet access to the mat at all times. The cushion, natural smell and the “grippy-ness” is something that I look for in a yoga mat especially ones that I tend to use on a daily basis. The ability for it to withstand outdoor elements is a key too. Living in California I am fortunate enough to practice outside year around. I love that this mat is tough enough to come outside with me every whether I’m practicing or teaching on land or by sea. If you’re looking for an awesome yoga mat you have to try this one out. It’s an investment that you and your body will be happy it made. Namaste – Dawn, Los Angeles, CA Yogi and Yoga Teacher.

I seriously love my oval yoga mat. I love practicing outside, but the mats I used in the past wouldn’t be long or wide enough to keep me from getting dirty. I can bring my oval mat anywhere and not have to worry about ending up in the dirt or sand.

I also love it because it’s completely non stick. My other mats I will always slip on, or need a rug. But, this mat is instantly non stick.

Lastly, I can set this mat down in any class and don’t have to worry about other people in my yoga space. The mat is big enough to spread out so that I don’t have to worry about a foot or leg entering my space in a crowded class!
