WHO: Ariadne Antahkarana and Agung Sangha will hold a 3 hours workshop introducing Qi Yo Yoga’s Core Sadhana to the NYC community.

WHAT: Qi Yo is the first system to unite yoga and martial arts*
Qi Yo Yoga is a kaleidoscope of practices, uniting vedantic yoga with Qi Gong and Tai Ji martial arts. Its mission is to offer a broad view of the world’s esoteric heritage via an open approach that melds extant spiritual knowledge into a single system.

WHEN: April 25th from 2pm to 5 pm

WHERE: email info@qiyoyoga.org or call 917 808 8978 for the exact location and directions

THE WORKSHOP:
The workshop will begin with guided relaxation in Savasana, accompanied by Nada Yoga sound therapy (using multi-cultural music instruments),
Then, we will move into welcoming intro talk explaining the essence of Qi energy and how to work with it on daily basis, highlighting our energetic anatomy.
Next, we will practice guided 7- step pranayama sequence incorporating practices from India, Bali, and China (including the Taoist embryonic breathing)

Towards the middle of the class, we will begin with practice of Qi Gong/Tai Ji signature blend sequence.

At the end of the sequence, we will take a Q & A break and will enjoy aromatic home brewed Chinese flower blossom tea.

After the break, we will continue with Hatha Yoga asanas focusing on the bandhas and the flow of prana in the meridians.

The workshop will end with creative visualization and trataka concentration, leading to yoga Nidra relaxation.

WHAT WILL THIS EXPERIENCE GIVE ME?
This workshop intends to introduce you to the subtle life force of Qi and to show you simple, everyday ways to feel and harness this life force.
This practice could improve your health, help you heal mentally and physically, and could raise your overall vitality!
In addition, we will explain in detail about the energetic anatomy of the human body (meridians, nadis, bandhas, chakras…)This will bring forth more awareness into your already existing asana practice or in your body awareness as a human being, in general.

Cross-cultural exploration of pranayama practices will also be addressed in details, which will open new horizons and will take your understanding of breath to a deeper, more profound level.

Therapy and energy protection will be an underlining theme during the workshop. Agung will speak about Balinese energy protection, while Ariadne will address the therapeutic aspects of the practice.

At last, the philosophy of multiversal consciousness will be woven into the fabric of the practice.
Multiversality is the full acceptance of ALL teachings, all practices, all religions, all points of view…all surrendered to and viewed though one guiding principle only– the Light within everyone’s heart.

You will leave the workshop inspired, refreshed, recharged, and with open mind for curiosity of delving deeper into such practices!
