July 11th: 6 pm to 8:30 pm:
Awami Agung and Ariadne will hold an introductory session to present the philosophy and practice of Qi Yo Multiversal Yoga.
The workshop will begin with Qi Gong Warm Up, then lead into pranayama and some basic asanas. Then we will have a discussion and present the purpose and basic tools for Qi Yo Sadhana practice.
9 am to 12 noon:
The session will begin with Qi Yo Core Class. The Qi-Yo signature class which draws upon Balinese, Chinese and Indian yoga traditions is a “contemporized” blend of traditional Indian Yoga, Qi Gong, body mind centering and ancient Balinese healing tools geared towards developing the holistically aware individual. The class opens with a brief alignment-visualization exercise intended to bring the focus inwards into the subtle sheaths of the body. A soothing “pranayama” (breath-extension) exercise follows, enabling students to purify nerve channels, open meridians and shift focus from the physical to the energetic body. The practice unfolds into a flow based sequence of postures teaches students to integrate rhythmic breathing with conscious movement, linking postures, moving with complete awareness as they increase strength and flexibility. The asana routine enhances glandular stimulation, promotes flexibility and reduces stress. A combined chanting and meditation closes the session allowing each practitioner to unleash the body’s wisdom, awakening subtle awareness, balance and inner peace. Then the session will finish with discussion of the seven sheaths of the human being.
2 pm to 6 pm:
Qi Yo Vibrational Therapy:
The practice introduces new psychic and spiritual defense mechanisms, rejuvenating exercises, incorporates body-mind centering tools like Qi-Gong and Yoga, and holistic treatment approacheslike Reiki and Vibrational gong therapy. A signature method of Qi-Yo is the Vibrational INTRO REMEDY conceived by Swami Agung – a gong based energetic, Vibrational cleansing that awakens immediate insight, while filtering impurities from the subtle body, stimulating the endocrine system, activating meridian points, and promoting better circulation and enhanced energy flow.
Lecture on the septenary constitution of man, followed by discussion.
6pm to 8 pm: Time for dinner & break
8 pm: Qi Yo Dance session (attendance optional):
Qi-Yo Dance is a contemporary yoga style inspired by the dynamic flow of dance and the soft focus of yoga. It teaches practitioners that asanas are not static postures to be assumed, but, rather, sacred geometric mandalas to be accessed and experienced in a constant flow of give and take. As a result, emphasis is placed upon transitioning from one transcendental state to the next with elegance and grace in a spiral curve that radiates energy and intention. Every state or asana is considered not as a set frame to be conquered, but as a key that opens new awareness horizons and a password that allows every individual to access the spiritual computer of Akasha and tap their source. Each class is structured in a flow-based sequence of postures in order to teach the students how to integrate rhythmic breathing with conscious movement, linking states of mind and body, so that they move with complete awareness as they increase strength and flexibility. The asana routine enhances glandular stimulation, promotes flexibility and reduces stress. The movements are linked into a vibrant fabric of movement and breath reminiscent of the spiral periodicity of the ascending and descending harmony of the Universe, which allows dancers to transition gracefully from one moment to the next as they involve and evolve throughout their lives.
9am to 12 noon:
Working with Qi Energy, Therapy, and healing
Focus on meditation- principles, techniques, challenges, stages.
The class will end with Relaxation and meditation:
Nada-yoga relaxation is a signature feature of the Qi Yo system. It allows the practitioner to retain the cultivated energy, sealing it in one’s body, stabilizing the practitioner and acting as a bridge back into everyday life, protecting one using unique Balinese protection techniques.
The relaxation and meditation practice is based on a 20-plus-year practice of Swami Agung.
During class, we use the specific vibrational frequencies of musical instruments and Tibetan Singing bowls.
There is purposeful group meditation using visualization and mantras. We also practice an exchange of yin and yang energy, with female and male participants holding hands and sending positive energy to each other and to the world.
